AUMA's New Electric Actuator - The TIGRON
AUMA's TIGRON actuators are designed to meet the global oil and gas industry's high standards. Based on AUMA's more than 50 years of expertise as a leading electric actuator manufacturer, TIGRON combines highest level of explosion protection, robust design, great ease of use and newest digitalization trends. The versatile all-rounder offers safe and reliable valve automation in oil and gas production, pipelines, tank farms, and refineries, among other applications.
TIGRON actuators are ATEX, and IECEx certified for gas groups IIC, which includes highly flammable hydrogen. Other approvals will come later. The actuators withstand the harshest environmental conditions, with a temperature range ranging from –65 °C to +75 °C. IP68 enclosure protection and AUMA's ultra-durable powder coating effectively protect against tropical downpours, ocean spray, and desert sandstorms.
The controls can be mounted separately, up to 100 m away from the actuator, for installation in difficult-to-reach areas or where vibration is a problem. TIGRON actuators will be available in SIL versions as well.
